Real people, inside a shared environment.

Silhouette captures a participant’s actual live video image from their ordinary room, streams it over the web, and transplants it into a computer-generated three-dimensional environment at real-time frame rates. Two rooms become one place.

It captures the person

The live image is separated from whatever is physically behind them — an ordinary room, not a prepared studio.

That image is streamed over the web and placed inside the environment in real time, with synchronized audio.

IVN® was founded in Los Angeles in 1994. Silhouette rests on seven United States patents and applications, the first of them filed in 2000.
